"Un estruendo despierta a Gigante. Ha caído la gorda, la gran “Ceiba de la Libertad”. Muchos lloran y recuerdan la infame profecía: al morir las raíces que soportaban su superficie, Gigante entraría en un lento y constante hundimiento. Cosas extrañas empiezan a ocurrir y los habitantes las documentan a través de sus celulares. Filman cómo se van adaptando a la inevitable caída. A través de archivo, descubrimos la vida alrededor de un árbol cuyas raíces soportaban el imaginario de un pueblo entero".
ENG: "A noise awakens Gigante. The fat lady has fallen, the great "Tree of Freedom". Many cry and remember the infamous prophecy: when the roots that supported its surface died, Gigante would enter into a slow and constant sinking. Strange things begin to happen and the inhabitants document them through their cell phones. They film how they are adapting to the inevitable fall. Through the archival footage, we discovered life around a tree whose roots supported the imagination of an entire town."
